The Granny Square blanket of life.
There you are in the wool shop, colours and textures on the shelves. You choose your colourway, you choose your yarn, and the blanket begins to take shape in your mind.
The yarn is yours and you begin, chain 4, slip stitch together to form a ring, and the first square begins.
Along the way the design may change, new colours added, new patterns tried out, but this is why i compare my life to a Granny square blanket. no matter what the idea, or the pattern, or the colour, or how ever many squares you have in the pile, you can only add one square at a time.
